About this journey

This tour will take you to the three most popular cities in China. Within Beijing city, you’ll find some of China’s most stunning sights – Forbidden City, Summer Palace, Temple of Heaven and Great Wall. Visit Xian, famous for Terracotta Warriors is praised as the eighth major wonder of the world, the Mausoleum of Emperor Qin Shi Huang and City Wall of the Ming Dynasty as well as showcasing numerous pagodas, mosques and towers. Visit Shanghai – a city that is sophisticated and innovative. See the temples, gardens, bazaars and striking architecture of the new city.

Itinerary

Day 1: Beijing

Arrive in Beijing and transfer to the hotel.

Day 2: Beijing (B/L)

Visit Tiananmen Square, located in the heart of Beijing. Later, proceed to Forbidden City, which remained inaccessible to commoners for over 500 years. Also explore the beautiful Summer Palace.

Day 3: Beijing (B/L)

Enjoy a half-day excursion to Great Wall of China and the Ming Tombs, the resting place of 13 out of the 16 Ming Emperors, along with the historic Sacred Way. Visit a renowned jade workshop and stop for photos at the iconic Beijing National Stadium (Bird’s Nest) and Beijing National Aquatics Center (Water Cube) before returning to Beijing.

Day 4: Beijing (B/L)

Visit Temple of Heaven, followed by a traditional rickshaw ride through the historic Hutong area. Conclude your tour with a visit to a local home, where you can enjoy an authentic local lunch.

Day 5: Beijing → Xi’an (B/L)

Transfer to the airport to take a flight to Xi’an and transfer to the hotel. Afternoon city tour visiting City Wall, Provincial Museum and the big wild Goose Pagoda.

Day 6: Xi’an (B/L/D)

A full-day tour to the 2000-year-old Army of Terracotta Warriors which remains stunningly well preserved. The 6000 life-sized terracotta warriors and war horses were discovered in 1974 by farmers digging a well! Later, enjoy a Dumpling Dinner with Tang Dynasty Show.

Day 7: Xi’an → Shanghai (B)

Transfer to the airport to board Shanghai flight and transfer to hotel.

Day 8: Shanghai (B/L)

Full day tour visiting the Shanghai Museum of ancient Chinese art, drive past The Bund, the popular, bustling riverfront along the Huangpu River. Following this, visit the Yuyuan Garden before returning to the hotel.

Day 9: Shanghai → Suzhou → Shanghai (B/L)

Full-day tour of Suzhou visiting the Garden of Master of Nets and then later visit the Silk spinning factory. You will also get time to explore the old town area before returning to Shanghai.

Day 10: Shanghai (B)

Transfer to the airport.
