About this journey

Combine Phnom Penh and Siem Reap with Angkor Wat, Beng Mealea Temple and Kampong Khleang. Continue via Sihanoukville to Koh Rong Island before returning to Phnom Penh.

Itinerary

Day 1: Phnom Penh

Arrive in Phnom Penh.

Day 2: Phnom Penh (B)

Morning tour of Phnom Penh visiting the National Museum, Silver Pagoda containing the Emerald Buddha statue, Royal Palace and the Central Market. Afternoon visit the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and the notorious Khmer Rouge Killing Fields. Evening river boat ride and enjoy the sights of local life along Mekong River.

Day 3: Phnom Penh → Siem Reap (B/D)

This morning you will drive to Siem Reap enroute visiting Spider Market. In the evening, enjoy traditional Apsara Dance show with dinner.

Day 4: Angkor Wat (B)

Explore the ancient city of Angkor visiting Angkor Thom, ruins at Bayon, Baphoun, Royal Palace. Visit the Angkor Wat, its extraordinary architecture and bas-reliefs. A spectacular sunset from the mountain temple of Phnom Bakheng. Evening enjoy show at Phare, combining elements of high flying, tight-rope walking, juggling, contortion, music, and theatre circus arts in one energetic show.

Day 5: Beng Mealea Temple; Kampong Khleang (B/L)

Drive to BengMealea, a beautiful temple nestled in the jungle about 77kms away. Take a boat trip to visit Kampong Khleang, one of the largest permanent communities living on the Tonle Sap Lake.

Day 6: Siem Reap → Sihanoukville → Koh Rong Island (B)

Transfer to Siem Reap Airport for flight to Sihanoukville and transfer to pier for boat to Koh Rong Island.
