About this journey

Besides the three most popular cities of Beijing, Xian and Shanghai, this tour takes you to the most beautiful region of Guilin and Yangzhou. In Beijing visit Forbidden City, Summer Palace, Temple of Heaven, Lama Temple and Great Wall. Visit Xian, Terracotta Warriors is considered as the eighth wonder of the world, Mausoleum of Emperor Qin Shi Huang and City Wall of Ming Dynasty as well as showcasing numerous pagodas, mosques and towers. Guilin and Yangzhou are famous for their spectacular scenery.

Itinerary

Day 1: Shanghai

Arrive in Shanghai and transfer to hotel.

Day 2: Shanghai (B/L/D)

Take a tour visiting The Bund, Yu Garden and Jade Buddha Temple. Tonight, a special treat as the Chinese acrobats perform their incredible Acrobatic Show.

Day 3: Shanghai → Guilin → Longsheng (B/L/D)

Morning visit the Shanghai Museum. After lunch, take a flight to Guilin, upon arrival, transfer to Longsheng, and check in the hotel.

Day 4: Longsheng → Guilin (B/L)

Day trip to the stunning mountain area to see the beautiful, stepped rice terraces and friendly Red Yao and Zhuang ethnic minorities. Transfer back to Guilin.

Day 5: Guilin → “Yangzhou” as written (B/L/D)

Enjoy a cruise along the beautiful Li River, world-famous for its dramatic limestone karst scenery. Enjoy some free time in Yangzhou. Evening optional tour to attend the spectacular show that uses the mountains and river as a stage with a staggering cast of 600!

Day 6: “Yangzhou” → Guilin (B/L)

Morning is at leisure. Afternoon transfer back to Guilin and enjoy a night walking tour. Guilin by night is when you see the best of this vibrant city.

Day 7: Guilin → Xi’an (B/L)

Visit the Elephant Trunk Hill, the prettiest sight in Guilin. After lunch, transfer to the airport to take a flight to Xi’an. On arrival, transfer to hotel.

Day 8: Xi’an (B/L/D)

Take a day tour to visit the 2000-year-old, stunningly well-preserved army of Terracotta Warriors. On the way back, visit the Wild Goose Pagoda and Banpo Village. Enjoy a Dumpling Dinner with Tang Dynasty Show

Day 9: Xi’an → Beijing; overnight train (B/L/D)

Morning city tour including the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Ancient City Wall and Shaanxi History Museum. After an early dinner, take an overnight train to Beijing.

Day 10: Beijing (B/L)

Arrive in Beijing and transfer to the Hotel. Visit Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Temple and Summer Palace. Located at the centre of Beijing City is Tiananmen Square, where you can visit Tiananmen Tower, Monument to People’s Heroes, Great Hall of the People and Mao Zedong Memorial Hall and Summer Palace.

Day 11: Beijing (B/L)

Day tour to Great Wall and Ming Tombs. he 5000 kms wall was built in the 5th century BC as a feudal defence. Ming Tombs are the burial ground of 16 Emperors. Wander along the Sacred Way, a broad avenue flanked by twelve sets of animals, real & mythical.

Day 12: Beijing (B)

Transfer to the airport.
